Civil Site Agent – Civil Engineering

Isoyi Holdings is a reputable building and civil constructing company is seeking an experienced Civil Site Agent for a contract employment in the Mpumalanga area. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional to lead site operations on key civil infrastructure projects.

  • Manage day-to-day site operations and supervise construction activities for the project.
  • Ensure the project is executed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Oversee quality control and ensure adherence to the project specifications.
  • Prepare site reports and maintain accurate documentation for the project.
  • Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience as a Civil Site Agent, preferably with road and stormwater projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in stormwater rehabilitation and road infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote site location.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

    Construction Manager – Civil Engineering

    Isoyi Holdings is a reputable building and civil constructing company is seeking We are seeking a Contracts Manager with experience in civil engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong contract management skills, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and negotiation abilities. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all contracts related to civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines, and managing relationships with clients and subcontractors.

    • Review, negotiate, and execute contracts for civil engineering projects.
    • Ensure compliance with contract terms and regulations.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
    • Manage contract documentation and maintain accurate records.
    • Provide guidance and support to project managers on contract-related issues.
    • Monitor contract performance and address any issues that arise.
    • Collaborate with legal and finance teams as needed.

    Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects

      • Degree or B Tech in Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering.
      • ESCA Registration
      • Proven experience as a Construction Manager at senior level, preferably with road and stormwater projects.
      • Minimum of 7 – 10 years’ experience in stormwater rehabilitation and road infrastructure.
      • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work independently in a remote site location.
      • Valid driver’s license.
      • Strong understanding of construction contracts and regulations.
      • Proven negotiation and communication skills.
      • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
      • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office and contract management software.

      Safety Manager/Officer – Civil Engineering

      Isoyi Holdings is a reputable building and civil constructing company is seeking We are looking for an experienced Construction Health & Safety Officer (CHSO) who has a proven track record in the Engineering Construction sector. The Construction Health & Safety Officer will serve as the company’s SHE professional and will be responsible for the overall management of Construction Health & Safety across all company operations and projects.

      Legal & Regulatory Compliance

      • Ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) and Construction Regulations.
      • Interpret and implement all applicable South African SHE legislation and client-specific requirements.
      • Ensure proper appointment of legal appointees in terms of OHS Act and Construction Regulations.
      • Liaise with the Department of Employment and Labour and other regulatory authorities where required.
      • Monitor changes in legislation and update company systems accordingly.

      SHE Management System (ISO & IMS)

      • Maintain and continuously improve the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
      • Ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards such as:
        • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
        • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
        • ISO 9001 (Quality Management) (as applicable)
      • Develop, update, and implement SHE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
      • Lead internal audits and coordinate external ISO audits.
      • Drive corrective and preventative action processes.

      Project SHE Management

      • Provide leadership and oversight of SHE performance across all projects.
      • Review and approve project-specific Health & Safety Files and baseline risk assessments.
      • Conduct site audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
      • Investigate incidents and ensure proper reporting and corrective action implementation.
      • Report SHE performance to management.

      Management of SHE Personnel

      • Identify staffing requirements for each project.
      • Appoint suitable Construction SHE representatives.
      • Ensure site SHE personnel are competent, registered where required, and fulfilling their legal duties.
      • Mentor and develop SHE team members.
      • Conduct performance reviews for SHE staff.

      Risk Management & Safety Culture

      • Lead company-wide risk assessments and hazard identification processes.
      • Promote proactive safety leadership across all levels of the organization.
      • Implement safety awareness programs and toolbox talk frameworks.
      • Drive continuous improvement in SHE performance and culture.

      Client & Stakeholder Engagement

        • Represent the company in client SHE meetings.
        • Ensure compliance with client SHE specifications and contract requirements.
        • Assist with SHE inputs during tender submissions when required.
        • Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Management.
        • Registration with SACPCMP/SMATRAC
        • Strong knowledge of South African Construction Regulations and ISO management systems.
        • Proven experience as a Construction Safety Officer/Manager, preferably with road and stormwater projects.
        • Minimum of 7 – 10 years’ experience in stormwater rehabilitation and road infrastructure.
        • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
        • Ability to work independently in a remote site location.
        • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
        • Strong understanding of construction contracts and regulations.
        • Proven negotiation and communication skills.
        • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
        • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
        • Proficient in Microsoft Office and contract management software.
